About us
During the winter season, we swap the cold, wet roads for the fast boards of the Eddy Merckx Velodrome at Blaarmeersen in Ghent. Every week we come together to dive into the steep bends and test our legs. We push hard, dig deep in the pedals and above all laugh a lot. From tight pacelines and fast laps to attacks off the front: every session has its own dynamic, but the energy is always there.
The beauty of the track is that everyone can ride at their own level, without losing sight of each other. And that 'not losing sight' can be taken quite literally: thanks to our stunning, unique outfits, we are immediately recognisable from the stands and on the wooden track. Whether you ride in the belly of the peloton or seek out the banking, in our distinctive green and gold design we find each other effortlessly at any moment. It not only reinforces safety in the bustle, but above all that proud team feeling. We start together, we ride together, and we stand out together.
At De Wase Pistaards it's about much more than the number of watts on your computer or the speed on the dial. It's about pushing your limits, building fitness in a comfortable temperature, challenging each other in a healthy way and sharing the passion for cycling together. But equally important is what happens off the track: the atmosphere in the infield, the great stories after cooling down and the club spirit that binds us.
